Denis Akiyama was a Canadian actor and voice actor. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, and studied psychology at York University before training in acting at George Brown College.

He appeared in films including *Dead Ringers* (1988), *Johnny Mnemonic* (1995) as Shinji, *The Pacifier* (2005), *Repo Men* (2010), *Resident Evil: Afterlife* (2010) and *Pixels* (2015) as Professor Iwatani. His television credits include guest roles in *Suits*, *Warehouse 13* and *12 Monkeys*. Akiyama was also known for voice work in animated series such as *X-Men* (as Silver Samurai and Sunfire) and *Sailor Moon* (as Malachite).

He died in Toronto on 28 June 2018.
