Dennis Cooper is a television writer and producer. He contributed to *Miami Vice* (1984) as a writer, teleplay author and story editor, serving as story editor for the final episodes of the first season, executive story editor in the second season and co-producer in the third.

His other credits include episodes of *Hill Street Blues* (1983), *St. Elsewhere* (1983), *Tour of Duty* (1987) and *The Young Riders* (1989). He wrote for and produced episodes of *Chicago Hope* (1994), receiving a Primetime Emmy nomination, and wrote and directed the feature film *Ways of the Flesh* (2006).
