## Biography

Dennis Hill (1949–2014) was an American actor. He appeared as Guard Tom in the 1995 film *The Underneath* and as Coach Harper in the 2004 film *Friday Night Lights*. His other screen credits include roles in *Confessions of a Serial Killer* (1985), *Red Headed Stranger* (1986) and *Murder Rap* (1988).

Before acting, Hill served for 25 years as a detective with the Austin Police Department and had prior military experience in the US Navy and Army. He was also a professional artist specialising in landscapes, seascapes and Western art. He divided his time between Arizona and the Los Angeles area.
