## Biography

Denny Martin Flinn (21 December 1947 – 24 August 2007) was an American writer, choreographer, stage director and actor. He co-wrote the screenplay for the film *Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country* (1991) with Nicholas Meyer, for which they received a Saturn Award nomination for Best Writing.

Flinn grew up in California and studied theatre at San Francisco State University. He performed on Broadway in productions including *Sugar* (1972), *Hello, Dolly!* (1975) and *Pal Joey* (1976), and worked as a choreographer on stage and in television and film. He later wrote non-fiction books on musical theatre and screenwriting, as well as the Star Trek novel *The Fearful Summons* (1995).
