Derek Mio is an American actor. Born in 1982 in Huntington Beach, California, he graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts with a degree in film production. He is a fourth-generation Japanese American.

Mio is known for his lead performance as Chester Nakayama in the second season of the AMC anthology series *The Terror* (2019). He had a recurring role as Wade Matthews on *Greek* (2007–2011) and has made guest appearances on series including *Grey's Anatomy*, *House*, *Supergirl*, *Hawaii Five-0* and *Bones*. His film credits include a voice role as the Elephant in *The Emoji Movie* (2017).
