## Biography

Dick DeBenedictis is an American composer and arranger whose career has focused on television music. He composed scores for numerous episodes of the series *Columbo* (1971), as well as later Columbo television movies.

He is also known for his work on *Matlock* (1986), the Perry Mason television movies from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s, *Diagnosis Murder* (1993), *Police Story* (1973) and other series including *The Rockford Files* and *Hawaii Five-O*. DeBenedictis attended Ithaca College and has a background in musical theatre, with credits as a dance arranger on several Broadway productions. He has received multiple Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his compositions.
