## Biography

Dirk Craft was an American assistant director and director. He worked extensively as a first assistant director on feature films and television series from the early 1990s, including *The Crucible* (1996), *Running with Scissors* (2006) and multiple episodes of *Rizzoli & Isles* (2010–2012).

Craft completed the Directors Guild of America Trainee Program in 1991 after graduating from Michigan State University. He served as first assistant director on 25 episodes of the FX series *Nip/Tuck* (2005–2010) before directing four episodes of the show between 2008 and 2010. He also directed an episode of *Burn Notice* (2010).

Craft was married to casting director Sande Alessi. He died in Los Angeles on 24 March 2014.
