## Biography

Domenico Forges-Davanzati (November 1913 – 31 August 1972) was an Italian film producer. The son of journalist and politician Roberto Forges Davanzati, he began working in cinema in 1948 and produced around a dozen films over the following eight years.

He collaborated with directors including Duilio Coletti, Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia and Luigi Capuano, and financed notable productions directed by Giuseppe De Santis, Michelangelo Antonioni and Luchino Visconti. Among his credits are *Non c'è pace tra gli ulivi* (1950), *La signora senza camelie* (1953) and *Senso* (1954). He established his own production company, Produzioni Forges Davanzati.

Forges-Davanzati left the film industry in 1956 following *I girovaghi*. His son, Mario Forges Davanzati, later worked as a cinematographer on numerous films.
