Dominik Scherrer is a Swiss-British composer born in 1967 in Zürich, Switzerland. He moved to London at the age of 19 and has worked extensively in film, theatre and television.

Scherrer composed the score for the BBC series *The Missing* (2014–2016), for which he received a Primetime Emmy nomination. His other notable television credits include *Ripper Street* (2012–2016), *Agatha Christie's Marple* (2004–2013), *Requiem* (2018), *The Serpent* (2021) and *The Tourist* (2022). He has won two Ivor Novello Awards for Best Television Soundtrack, for *Ripper Street* in 2014 and for *Requiem* (co-composed with Natasha Khan) in 2019.
