## Biography

Don Carlos Dunaway is an American screenwriter whose career spanned the 1970s to the mid-1990s, working primarily in television. He wrote episodes of series including *Toma* (1974), *Baretta* (1975), *The Rockford Files* (1975–76) and *The Equalizer* (1986).

In 1978 he co-created the CBS series *Kaz* with Ron Leibman and wrote 23 episodes of it. He also contributed the teleplay for the *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine* episode "The Forsaken" (1993). His film credits include co-writing the screenplays for *Cujo* (1983) and *Impulse* (1984). Dunaway directed one episode of the 1985 revival of *The Twilight Zone*.
