## Biography

Don Peake is an American composer and musician. Born in Los Angeles, he began his career in 1961 as lead guitarist with the Everly Brothers and later became the first white guitarist to tour and record with the Ray Charles Orchestra. He worked extensively as a session musician and arranger in Los Angeles, contributing to recordings by artists including the Righteous Brothers, Ike and Tina Turner, and the Jackson 5.

Peake studied composition and orchestration with Paul Glass and Dr. Albert Harris, and conducting with Samuel Krachmalnick. His film scores include *The Hills Have Eyes* (1977) and *The People Under the Stairs* (1991), both directed by Wes Craven, as well as *The Prey* (1983). He composed music for 77 episodes of the television series *Knight Rider*.
