## Biography

Don Reo is an American television writer and producer. Born in Rhode Island in 1946, he began his career writing jokes for stand-up comedians before entering television writing rooms in the late 1960s.

He contributed to series including *Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In*, *Sanford and Son*, *All in the Family*, *The Mary Tyler Moore Show* (1970), *M*A*S*H*, *Rhoda* and *The Golden Girls*. Reo created or co-created *Blossom* (1990), *The John Larroquette Show*, *My Wife and Kids* (2001), *Rodney* and *The Ranch* (2016), and served as showrunner on *Two and a Half Men*.

In 2026 he received the Writers Guild of America West Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television Writing Achievement.
