## Biography

Don Richardson (1918–1996) was an American director, actor, acting teacher and author. An original member of the Group Theatre, he directed three Broadway productions and more than 800 television episodes.

His television credits include episodes of *Get Smart* (1965), *Lost in Space* (1966–1968) and *Mission: Impossible* (1968), as well as *Bonanza* (1968–1971), *One Day at a Time* (1975–1976) and others. His work is held in the permanent collections of the Museum of Broadcasting and the UCLA Film and Television Archive.

Richardson taught acting at Barnard College, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Tel Aviv University. He published the book *Acting Without Agony: An Alternative to the Method*.
