## Biography

Don Vargas is a costume designer and costumer who worked in film and television from the mid-1970s onwards.

He received a costume design credit on *Cannonball Run II* (1984). Other credits include men's costumer or costume supervisor on *Smokey and the Bandit II* (1980), *MegaForce* (1982), *Pee-wee's Big Adventure* (1985), *My Science Project* (1985), *The Color Purple* (1985) and *A.I. Artificial Intelligence* (2001). From the late 1990s he worked frequently as personal costumer to Steve Martin, on films including *Cheaper by the Dozen* (2003), *Shopgirl* (2005), *The Pink Panther* (2006) and *The Pink Panther 2* (2009). He also served as men's costume supervisor on the television series *Murder, She Wrote* (1994–1996).
