## Biography

Donal Gilligan was an Irish cinematographer. He trained at Rathmines College in Dublin and began working as a camera assistant on international productions in the early 1990s. He later became a director of photography on numerous films and television series.

His credits include *Spooks* (2002), *Love/Hate* (2010), *Primeval* (2011), *Raw* (2008–2011) and *Shameless* (2009). He also worked on features such as *Omagh* (2004) and *Mystics* (2003). Gilligan received two IFTA nominations and died on 19 September 2010 in Dublin.
