## Biography

Donna M. Berwick (1958–2024) was an American costume designer. Born in Queens, New York, she earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and an associate degree in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

She began her career as a fashion designer in New York and was a member of the Black feminist arts collective Rodeo Caldonia. Berwick worked extensively with directors Spike Lee and Ernest Dickerson. Her credits as costume designer include *Juice* (1992), *Inside Man* (2006), *Da 5 Bloods* (2020) and the series *Miracle's Boys* (2005). She received a Costume Designers Guild nomination for *Da 5 Bloods*.
