Donna Lynne Champlin is an American actress. She was born on 21 January 1971 in Rochester, New York, and studied musical theatre at Carnegie Mellon University, graduating with a BFA in 1993. She also trained in Shakespeare and Chekhov at the University of Oxford.

Champlin is best known for playing Paula Proctor in the CW series *Crazy Ex-Girlfriend* (2015–2019). Her other screen credits include roles in *Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)* (2014), *Downsizing* (2017), *The Good Doctor* (2017), *Feel the Beat* (2020) and *Yes, God, Yes* (2020), as well as appearances in *Law & Order* and *The Good Wife*.

A stage performer with Broadway credits including *James Joyce's The Dead*, *By Jeeves* and *Sweeney Todd*, she has received awards such as an Obie Award for *The Dark at the Top of the Stairs* and a Drama Desk Award for *Working: A Musical*.
