## Biography

Donna Szöke is a Canadian costume designer and actor. She began working in film in Winnipeg, designing costumes for Guy Maddin’s early features.

She received costume design credits on *Tales from the Gimli Hospital* (1988), *Archangel* (1990), *Careful* (1992) and *Twilight of the Ice Nymphs* (1997), and also appeared as an actor in several of these films, including *Archangel* (as Worshipper and Home Woman) and *Tales from the Gimli Hospital* (as Fish Princess). She later acted in the 2011 short *Canoe*.
