## Biography

Doris Nolan (1916–1998) was an American actress. She appeared in Broadway productions from the mid-1930s and in several Hollywood films during the 1930s and 1940s, including *Holiday* (1938) as Julia Seton.

Nolan married Canadian actor Alexander Knox in 1944. The couple moved to England in the early 1950s. She made occasional later screen appearances, credited at times as Doris Knox, including in *The Servant* (1963), *Juggernaut* (1974) and guest roles in British television series such as *The Saint* (1962).
