Dorris Bowdon was an American actress. She appeared in three films directed by John Ford: *Young Mr. Lincoln* (1939), *Drums Along the Mohawk* (1939) and *The Grapes of Wrath* (1940), in which she played Rosasharn.

Born in Coldwater, Mississippi, she was discovered by a talent scout while at Louisiana State University and signed to a contract with 20th Century Fox. She also appeared in *The Moon Is Down* (1943).

She married screenwriter Nunnally Johnson, who wrote the screenplay for *The Grapes of Wrath*, in 1940; they had three children. She retired from acting after her final film.
