## Biography

Doug Jung is an American screenwriter and producer. He co-wrote the screenplay for the 2016 film *Star Trek Beyond* with Simon Pegg and also appeared in the film as Ben, the husband of Hikaru Sulu.

Jung's television credits include writing episodes of *Banshee* (2014), creating and writing for *Dark Blue* (2009–2010), and contributing stories to *Mindhunter* (2019). He wrote the screenplay for *The Cloverfield Paradox* (2018) and earlier wrote the feature *Confidence* (2003). He has served as showrunner and executive producer on *Chief of War* (2025) and is attached as showrunner on the upcoming *Mass Effect* series.
