## Biography

Douggie McMeekin is an English stage, television and film actor. He graduated with a physics degree from the University of Nottingham and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. As a student he performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and won the Judges Award for Acting at the National Student Drama Festival in 2011.

He made his professional stage debut in 2015 at the Royal Shakespeare Company. On screen, his credits include Sunny Blandford in *The Crown* (2017), Charles Quigley in *Harlots* (2017–2019), Aleksandr Yuvchenko in *Chernobyl* (2019), Lord Rolf of Saxony in *Catherine Called Birdy* (2022), Tindaro in *The Decameron* (2024), John Brown in *Joy* (2024) and Andy in *Steve* (2025). He was nominated for an Ian Charleson Award in 2018 for his performance in *A Midsummer Night's Dream* at the Young Vic.
