## Biography

Douglas Crise is an American film editor. Born on 1 May 1961 in Smithton, Pennsylvania, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in film studies before moving to Los Angeles to work in the film industry.

Crise began as an assistant editor and formed a long collaboration with Stephen Mirrione, starting with *Clockwatchers* (1997). They co-edited Alejandro González Iñárritu’s *Babel* (2006), receiving a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Film Editing and winning the ACE Eddie Award for Best Edited Feature Film – Dramatic (in a tie).

His editing credits include *Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)* (2014), *Spring Breakers* (2013), *Gold* (2016), *Dark Places* (2015) and *Trust* (2010). He has also worked as an assistant editor on *Ocean’s Eleven* (2001), *Ocean’s Twelve* (2004) and *Good Night, and Good Luck.* (2005).
