## Biography

Duan Yihong (Chinese: 段奕宏) is a Chinese actor born on 16 May 1973 in Yining, Xinjiang. He was admitted to the Central Academy of Drama in 1994 after earlier unsuccessful applications and graduated in 1998, after which he joined the National Theatre Company of China. He has performed in numerous stage productions and is noted as a second-generation actor in the play *Rhinoceros in Love*.

He is known for television roles including Yuan Lang in *Soldiers Sortie* (2006) and Long Wenzhang in *My Chief and My Regiment* (2009), and for film appearances such as Tang Caoshi in *Summer Palace* (2006), Ye Jianbo in *The Message* (2009), Yi Guchun in *The Dead End* (2015), and Tan Ziwei in *The Battle at Lake Changjin* (2021) and its 2022 sequel. Duan won the Best Actor award at the Shanghai International Film Festival in 2015 for *The Dead End* and at the Tokyo International Film Festival in 2017 for *The Looming Storm* (2017).
