## Biography

Dusty Kay was an American television writer and producer. Born Eugene Lawrence Kay in the Bronx, New York, in October 1954 and raised in Yonkers and Spring Valley, he attended Northwestern University.

He created the short-lived 1987 ABC series *Once a Hero* and wrote episodes of *Roseanne* (1988) and *Entourage* (2004). He also served as producer on *Roseanne* (season 7), *Entourage* (season 4) and other series including *Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman* and *Early Edition*. Kay received a shared Emmy nomination for outstanding comedy series for his work on *Entourage* in 2008.

His other writing credits include *Good Times* (1974), *Eight Is Enough*, *The Twilight Zone* (2002) and telefilms such as *Triplecross* (1987), *Mick and Frankie* (1989) and *Cutty Whitman* (1996). With frequent collaborator Bill Nuss, he wrote the book for a musical adaptation of *The Honeymooners* that premiered in 2017.
