Earl Baldwin was an American screenwriter. Born in Newark, New Jersey, on 11 January 1901, he wrote more than fifty produced screenplays during a career that spanned feature films and later television.

He worked for Pathé and then First National and Warner Bros. before freelancing. His credits include *Doctor X* (1932), *Wild Boys of the Road* (1933), *Here Comes the Navy* (1934), *A Slight Case of Murder* (1938), *Brother Orchid* (1940), *Africa Screams* (1949) and episodes of *Rawhide* (1959). He died in Hollywood, California, on 9 October 1970.
