Ebonie Smith is an American actress, also credited as Ebonie Michelle Smith and Negra Candalaria-Smith. Born on 16 September 1978 in Puerto Rico, she began acting as a child and is best known for playing Carrie Murtaugh in the four *Lethal Weapon* films (1987, 1989, 1992 and 1998).

Smith appeared as Jessica Jefferson in four episodes of the sitcom *The Jeffersons* (1984–1985). She had recurring roles on *Webster* and *Family Matters*, played M'Lila in an episode of *Xena: Warrior Princess* (1997), and portrayed a young La Toya Jackson in the miniseries *The Jacksons: An American Dream* (1992). Later credits include appearances in *Roswell* (1999) and *Tadpole* (2002). She has also worked as a composer.
