## Biography

Ed Kear is a British actor, comedian, writer, director and producer from Bristol. He made his first major television appearance in the BBC Three sitcom *Crims* (2015) and has since become a regular on British television and in film.

His screen credits include the BBC series *Ghosts* (2019) as Dave Houses and *Here We Go* (2022–2025) as Dean, as well as roles in *Slow Horses*, *The Acolyte* (2024) and *Avoidance*. In film he has appeared in *Spy* (2015), *Cruella* (2021), *Venom: Let There Be Carnage* (2021), *The Batman* (2022) and *Deadpool & Wolverine* (2024). He played Brigham in the 2026 BBC series *Small Prophets*.

Kear made his West End debut as Davey in Jez Butterworth’s *Jerusalem* (2022) alongside Mark Rylance. He has also written and performed in web series including *Blowing the Budget*.
