Ed Speleers (born 7 April 1988) is an English actor. He was born in Chichester, West Sussex, and attended Eastbourne College. He began his professional career at age 17 after winning the title role in the 2006 film *Eragon* from a field of 180,000 applicants.

Speleers is known for playing Jimmy Kent in the series *Downton Abbey* (2012–2014), Stephen Bonnet in *Outlander* (2018–2020), Rhys Montrose in *You* (2023) and Jack Crusher in *Star Trek: Picard* (2023). His other credits include roles in *Alice Through the Looking Glass* (2016), *The House That Jack Built* (2018) and *Against the Ice* (2022).
