## Biography

Eddie Barclay, born Édouard Ruault, was a French pianist, composer, music producer and founder of Barclay Records. He began his career as a jazz pianist in Paris clubs before and after the Second World War, later establishing his own record label in the 1950s.

Barclay produced recordings for artists including Jacques Brel, Dalida and Charles Aznavour. He also composed film scores, among them the music for *Bob le Flambeur* (1956), credited jointly with Jo Boyer.
