## Biography

Eddie Collins, also credited as Edward Bernard Collins, was an American actor. He began his career in vaudeville in 1905 and later worked in burlesque.

Collins is best known for providing vocal effects and serving as a live-action reference model for Dopey in Walt Disney's *Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs* (1937). He also recorded sneezing sounds for the film's chipmunk and squirrel characters. After the film's release, he was placed under contract with 20th Century-Fox and appeared in around twenty-five films, including *Young Mr. Lincoln* (1939) as Efe Turner, *Drums Along the Mohawk* (1939) as Christian Reall, *In Old Chicago* (1938) as a drunk, and *The Blue Bird* (1940) as Tylo.

Collins died on 2 September 1940 in Arcadia, California.
