David Giorgobiani is a Georgian actor. He was born on 5 August 1955 in Tbilisi and graduated from the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University in 1977. He spent eight years as a member of the Shota Rustaveli State Theatre before moving into other work including television presenting and directing.

Giorgobiani is known for his film roles including Orbeli in *Russian Ark* (2002) and Sandro Barateli in *Repentance* (1984). His other credits include appearances in *The Beloved Woman of Mechanic Gavrilov* (1982), *Etyudy o Vrubele* (1989) and the television series *Stalin: Live* (2006).
