## Biography

Eduardo de Gregorio was an Argentine screenwriter and director. He contributed to the screenplay for Bernardo Bertolucci's *The Spider's Stratagem* (1970), alongside Bertolucci and Marilù Parolini, adapting a short story by Jorge Luis Borges.

He worked on several films associated with Jacques Rivette, providing dialogue for *Céline and Julie Go Boating* (1974) and writing for *Duelle* (1976). De Gregorio later directed features including *Sérail* (1976), *Aspern* (1982) and *Corps perdus* (1989). He lived in Paris from the early 1970s and taught at film schools there.

De Gregorio died in Paris in 2012.
