## Biography

Eduardo Serra was a Portuguese cinematographer. He worked mainly on European and British productions, with frequent collaborations with directors Patrice Leconte and Claude Chabrol.

Serra shot *Unbreakable* (2000), *Girl with a Pearl Earring* (2003), *Blood Diamond* (2006), *Defiance* (2008) and the final two *Harry Potter* films (2010 and 2011). He received Academy Award nominations for *The Wings of the Dove* (1997) and *Girl with a Pearl Earring*, and a BAFTA for the former. In 2004 he was awarded the Ordem do Infante D. Henrique for services to Portuguese culture.
