## Biography

Edward Atterton is an English actor. He trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama after studying social anthropology at Trinity College, Cambridge, where he was a choral scholar.

His first television role was in an episode of *Agatha Christie's Poirot* in 1993, followed by a recurring part in the series *Medics*. He appeared in British productions before moving to the United States in the late 1990s. Atterton played Lt. Andre in the 1998 film *The Man in the Iron Mask* and had roles in series including *Three*, *Alias*, *Firefly* and *Charmed*, as well as the miniseries *Frank Herbert's Children of Dune* (2003) as Duncan Idaho. His final screen appearance was in a 2005 episode of *Wild Card*. He later left acting to work in the family apparel business.
