## Biography

Edward K. Milkis was an American television and film producer. A native of Los Angeles, he began his career in the film shipping department at ABC before working as a film editor on features including *North by Northwest* (1959) and *The Time Machine* (1960).

He joined the production of *Star Trek* (1966) as associate producer shortly before its premiere and remained with the series for three years. He later served as post-production supervisor at Paramount Television and formed a production partnership with Tom Miller. His credits include the series *Happy Days* (1974), *Laverne & Shirley* (1976) and *Bosom Buddies* (1980), and the films *Silver Streak* (1976), *Foul Play* (1978) and *The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas* (1982).

Milkis died in Los Angeles on 14 December 1996, aged 65.
