## Biography

Edward Pomerantz is a screenwriter, playwright, novelist and teacher. He wrote two episodes of the series *Law & Order* (1992–1993). His screenplay for the 1996 film *Caught*, adapted from his own novel *Into It*, was released by Sony Pictures Classics and nominated for three Independent Spirit Awards.

Pomerantz has written for other television series including *Here's Boomer* (1980–1981) and *As the World Turns* (1995). He is the recipient of two Writers Guild Awards. His plays have been staged in New York and elsewhere, including *Brisburial*. He has held two Fulbright Specialist grants and has taught screenwriting and playwriting at SUNY-Purchase for over twenty years. He founded and directs the Harlem Dramatic Writing Workshop.
