## Biography

Edward Tivnan is a writer and producer whose television credits include episodes of *Miami Vice* (1987), *20/20* (1978), *New York Undercover* (1998), *Renegade*, *The Cosby Mysteries* and *Doc* (2001). He also worked as supervising producer on *New York Undercover*.

Tivnan studied at the University of Toronto and graduated from Amherst College in 1967. He studied Ancient History and Philosophy at Oxford's Trinity College before completing a Ph.D. in philosophy at Princeton in 1973. He began his career as a reporter and staff writer at *Time* magazine, later becoming the first writer for ABC's *20/20* in 1978 before moving into freelance television and print work.

His other credits include co-producing BBC documentaries and writing the book *The Lobby: Jewish Political Power and American Foreign Policy* (1987).
