## Biography

Eleanor May Tomlinson is an English actress. Born in London on 19 May 1992, she moved with her family to Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire as a child and attended Beverley High School. Her father, Malcolm Tomlinson, is an actor, her mother Judith Hibbert is a singer and former actress, and her brother Ross Tomlinson is also an actor.

Tomlinson began acting as a child. Her early film roles include Young Sophie in *The Illusionist* (2006) and Jas in *Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging* (2008). She later appeared as Fiona Chattaway in *Alice in Wonderland* (2010), Princess Isabelle in *Jack the Giant Slayer* (2013), Adeline Ravoux in *Loving Vincent* (2017) and Georgie Raoul-Duval in *Colette* (2018). On television she played Mary Brighton in *The Nevers* (2021) and starred as Demelza Poldark in the BBC series *Poldark* (2015–2019).
