## Biography

Elena Ruiz Guitart, also credited as Elena Ruiz or Elena Ruíz, is a Catalan film editor. A graduate of ESCAC, she began editing short films in the early 2000s and made her feature debut with *Moscow Zero* (2006).

She is known for her work on *The Orphanage* (2007), *The Impossible* (2012), *The Platform* (2019) and other films including *Marrowbone* (2017) and *Pet* (2016). For *The Orphanage* she received the best editing award at the Barcelona Film Awards and a CEC Medal, and was nominated for a Goya. For *The Impossible* she shared Gaudí and Goya awards for best editing with Bernat Vilaplana.
