## Biography

Eli Despres is a film and television editor and writer. He edited and co-wrote the documentary *Blackfish* (2013). He also edited *Weiner* (2016) and *Red Army* (2015).

Despres co-wrote and edited *Weiner* with Josh Kriegman and Elyse Steinberg. With the same collaborators he created and directed the Showtime series *Couples Therapy*, and co-directed and produced the documentary *The Fight* (2020). His other editing credits include *They Call Us Monsters* (PBS) and the Emmy-winning series *Exposé* (PBS). He directed the feature *Wilderness Survival for Girls* (2004).

Despres is a member of the American Cinema Editors (ACE) and has been nominated twice for the ACE Documentary award. He is a co-founder of Edgeline Films.
