## Biography

Elie Smolkin is a cinematographer whose credits include the HBO series *Task* (2025), on which he served as director of photography for three episodes. He has also worked as director of photography on *The Offer* (2022), *The Consultant* (2023), *American Sports Story* (2024) and *The Comeback* (2005–2026), as well as the features *The Final Girls* (2015), *The Mortuary Collection* (2020) and *Tarot* (2024).

Raised in Vancouver and Chicago, Smolkin began taking photographs at the age of nine. He is a member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers and has directed one episode of the series *The Magicians* (2019). He is based in Los Angeles.
