## Biography

Eliza Butterworth is an English actress. She was born in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, in 1993 and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating with a BA in Acting in 2014.

Butterworth is best known for portraying Lady Aelswith across all five series of the historical drama *The Last Kingdom* (2015–2022). Her other television credits include Hester in the miniseries *The North Water* (2021), for which she received a National Film Award nomination, and Carly Lord in *A Town Called Malice* (2023). She voiced Masha in the film *The Pod Generation* (2023).

Earlier roles include guest appearances in *DCI Banks* (2015) and *WPC 56* (2015).
