## Biography

Elisabeth Kiernan Averick is an American writer and producer. She began her career in production roles on projects including the film *Selma* (2014) and television series such as *Human Target* and *Zero Hour*. She served as a writers' assistant on the musical comedy series *Crazy Ex-Girlfriend* (2015) before advancing to writer, story editor and co-producer positions on the show.

Averick later joined the writing and producing staff of *The Simpsons*, contributing as a writer and in producer roles including supervising producer and co-executive producer between 2019 and 2023. She has also written for *High School Musical: The Musical: The Series* (2019). She has received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations.

She is married to film producer Spencer Averick and attended Boston University.
