## Biography

Ellen Bry is an American actress. She is best known for her role as nurse Shirley Daniels on the medical drama series *St. Elsewhere* (1982–1987).

Bry trained at Tufts University and performed in school plays, community theatre and summer stock. She began her career in the late 1970s with guest appearances on series including *Kojak*, *CHiPs* and *Dallas*, and a regular role as Julie Masters on *The Amazing Spider-Man* (1978–1979). She has since appeared in films such as *Deep Impact* (1998) and *Mission: Impossible III* (2006), and in guest roles on *Star Trek: The Next Generation*, *MacGyver*, *Murder, She Wrote*, *Monk* and *Castle*. Bry was married to television writer and producer John Masius from 1986 to 1999.
