Ellen Thomas is a Sierra Leonean-British actress. She moved to Streatham, London, as a teenager to pursue acting and began her career in the 1980s with stage and television work.

She is known for multiple roles in the BBC soap opera *EastEnders*, including Pearl Chadwick, Estella Hulton, Grace Olubunmi and Claudette Hubbard, appearing across more than 130 episodes between 1990 and 2016. Other television credits include Liz Webbe in the Channel 4 sitcom *Teachers* (2001–2004) and the voice of Ambessa Medarda in the animated series *Arcane* (2021).

Her film roles include the Prosecutor in *Basic Instinct 2* (2006), Tucker's Mum in *Johnny English Reborn* (2011) and Vi Butterfield in *Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris* (2022). She has also appeared in *Breaking and Entering* (2006), *The Love Punch* (2014) and *Humans* (2015).
