Elliot Shoenman is an American television writer and producer. He began his career writing for the sitcom *Maude* in the 1970s and later contributed episodes to *Cheers* (1985).

He wrote for *The Cosby Show* (1984–1986) and served as a producer on the series, winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1985. Shoenman was executive producer and a writer on *Home Improvement* (1993–1999). He created the series *Amanda's* (1983) and *Annie McGuire* (1988–1989).

In later years he has written several plays, including *AfterMath*, which received an Ovation Award nomination for playwriting.
