Ellsworth Hoagland, also credited as H. Ellsworth Hoagland and Howard Ellsworth Hoagland, was an American film editor. He began his career in 1933 editing *One Sunday Afternoon* and worked primarily at Paramount until 1955 before moving into television.

Hoagland edited *The Lives of a Bengal Lancer* (1935), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing. His other film credits include *Holiday Inn* (1942), *Christmas in July* (1940), *Dr. Cyclops* (1940), *The Country Girl* (1954) and *Alice in Wonderland* (1933). He later edited episodes of the television series *Bonanza* (1959–1968), winning a Primetime Emmy Award in 1966.

Hoagland was born on 15 August 1903 in California and died on 4 September 1972 in Los Angeles.
