## Biography

Emmett Corrigan, born Antoine Zilles, was a Dutch-born American stage and screen actor. His career began in the 1880s with a stage debut in Baltimore at the age of fourteen; he later attended Ilchester College and appeared on Broadway, including as Sheik Ilderim in the 1899 production of *Ben-Hur* and Simonides in the 1900 revival.

He made his film debut in the silent era with *Greater Love Hath No Man* (1915) and continued working into the early sound period. Among his later credits were Bishop Harkness in *The Bitter Tea of General Yen* (1932) and an uncredited Police Captain in *Me and My Gal* (1932).

Corrigan died in Los Angeles on 29 October 1932.
