## Biography

Enzo Serafin (16 April 1912 – 27 December 1995) was an Italian cinematographer. Born in Venice, he worked in the Italian film industry from the early 1940s, initially as a camera operator before becoming director of photography.

Serafin collaborated with Michelangelo Antonioni on *Story of a Love Affair* (1950), *The Lady Without Camelias* (1953) and *The Vanquished* (1953), and with Roberto Rossellini on *Journey to Italy* (1954). His other credits include *The Miller's Beautiful Wife* (1955), *The Loves of Hercules* (1960) and *Day of Anger* (1967). In 1953 he received the Silver Ribbon award for his cinematography.

He also contributed to anthology films such as *Siamo donne* (1953) and *Les Sept péchés capitaux* (1962), and worked with directors including Luigi Zampa and Gianni Franciolini.
